"O- Office Politics"

  1. As a supervisor of an agency that works for a Medicaid program, I can relate! The demands are out of control and coming from all directions with less compassion and even less common sense every day. Very sad

  3. We have a small office. Probably 15 employees, including attorneys. It was hell here for a long time. One girl (who worked for "the boss") made it so. I'd have a headache when I got up to get dressed and a headache when I went to bed at night. She left a couple of years ago - - guess what?! I won't say it's Heaven, but it certainly isn't hell anymore! One person can make things miserable for everyone.

  4. Working in an office is not for the faint of heart! I try to stay out of squabbles and gossip by putting on my headphones and ignoring everyone.

  5. I quit my last salon job I had for 7 years b/c of crap like that. When I left, the mananger wanted to know why. I told her the stuff that was going on was a reflection of who she was/is so she made up a bunch of crap that I stole the salon database along with water bottles, and capes. MORON! I can't wait to catch her in public and give her a piece of my mind.

  6. I did the same thing as Alex... shoved the earphones in and ignored everyone.

  7. It's been a long time since I worked in an office with others. Yes, the politics drove me crazy! I'm not sad I'm out of it.

  8. I can't stand office politics and that's why I left working at a university to work from home instead.

  9. I've heard my mom and sister complain about that all the time. Luckily I've never had to deal with the sorts, but my time is coming. Thanks for the warning of what's to come!

  11. I can't stand office politics either. I particularly hate the massive number of couples at my workplace. If you question one, you have a problem with the other. It drives me insane sometimes. Thanks for letting me vent!

  12. Thanks for the comments on Office Politics and reading that rant. I think the only regret I have is that I gave up two years of my life for an unappreciative job, . but was definately a learning experience. I started having headaches and chest pains and realizing the stresses, I walked away with my head up.
