On Friday I received an email telling me about a new book coming out next week by F.L. Fowler. I was lucky to get a sneak peek at the book set to be released Tuesday, November 13th. It's the steamy tale of 50 Shades of Chicken. Okay, I imagine many people are probably clicking off this page pretty quick now. Maybe thinking, "Oh God No! Here we go again!" I can hear the doors slamming. But wait folks... before you leave, It's just a cookbook! Those that stayed to read are probably asking, "What food porn now?" It's a cookbook well a chicken cookbook. I admit that before clicking to check out the book I was probably thinking the same thing.
The Recipe Club who uploaded the book trailer to YouTube says that 50 Shades of Chicken is about...
"A young, free-range chicken. A dominating, ravenous chef. A naughty tale of fowl play. I visited the 50 Shades of Chicken webpage on Friday when I received the news of this new book. They have a recipe for one of their dishes Mustard Spanked Chicken on their website. Hilarious and yes the recipe sounds delicious!
I'm wondering though, how do you feel about an author naming their book 50 Shades, after such a controversial best seller, even if it is just a cookbook? Do you think it was pretty clever to jump on the 50 Shades bandwagon? OR a bit of a Risky move? You be the judge. I'd love to hear your opinions!
