friends scanned his blog they found his posting on The Best Reality Show Ever His thoughts on reality shows reflect that of my friends who are now convinced that Honey Boo Boo's mother farted inside of a body spanx and the compression blew straight to her head. I would also never tell these
Kevin tells us, "And on the 50 Shades of Grey, it's just the first book and I plan on continuing it but NOT the trilogy. Now for the interview portion of the talent show. I was asked to tell you a little about my blog so here we go. My blog is a Dad blog and for those who don't know there is a difference between a Dad blog and a Daddy blog. I would tell you what the difference is but that would ruin the surprise of of one of my upcoming posts. I enjoy blogging and I use it much like a therapist, the difference is my readers are much, much cheaper than an actual shrink...not that I think my readers are cheap and easy, no sir. I "officially" started blogging January 30, 2009 but it was more of a "hey I'm bored and blogging is main stream" moment so I wouldn't actually consider myself to have started blogging until I was convinced by a few friends to go full throttle on my blog on December 16, 2011. They seemed to have thought my previous postings were funny. The inspiration I get for my blog is a combination of a few different things. Obviously first and foremost I am a Dad and with three male Minions and most people would think I have enough fodder to last a lifetime of blogging with that situation. Contrary to popular belief, the Minions can act semi normal from time to time and I have to look at other sources, which is where my love of people watching comes in. Whenever we go out I have a chance to observe dumb asses on a regular basis and that provides quite a bit of inspiration right there. In a nutshell, life in general is my inspiration, it's never a dull moment in my world. Ah, the A to Z Challenge...the bane of my existence last April. The Darth Vader to my Obi-Wan, the Boba Fett to my Han Solo, the Death Star to my Alderaan...you get the point. Despite my constant bitching about it like a little school girl, I am going to participate in the A to Z Challenge again this year. Sometimes one finds themselves strapped for ideas and something like this pushes you and opens your mind to things you necessarily wouldn't blog about, that is also one of the reasons I did my 25 Days Project."Hilarious and I definitely understand the "sources" and when all else fails, I have my hillbillydom to fall back on to write about. I also understand the "therapy" part! Shi..oot I compare blogging to a little cheaper than visits with Dr. Phil and I can't wait to catch your future blog piece on Dad Blog vs. Daddy Blogging too. As a parent of grown up children I can only say to Kevin, treasure these days and years that they are still young. One day they are saying Ma Ma and Da Da, holding your hand in public. The years will fly by and you'll notice they no longer want to hold your hand or even be around you anymore. The biggest test of all time that we parents are faced with is the challenge of "The Talk" but the years that will test your real sanity, are the teen years. Again Many Many thanks to Kevin for dropping by to share his blog today. If you didn't catch his 25 Days of Christmas Project the postings are hilarious and worth going back and reading on the days that it's too cold to go outside. Hoping you'll stop by and visit his blog Who Woulda Thought? today. Oh and before I forget as I mentioned, today is the day that a big news announcement at Blogging A-Z.
